In short
LastSeen does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. The app has no user accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no connection to servers of its own. Photos you use in the app never leave your device.
What the app does on your device
LastSeen turns a photo into a poster in the style of a missing-person notice. All processing takes place exclusively on your iPhone.
Photos. When you choose a photo, the app uses the iOS photo picker. The app receives access only to the single photo you select, not to your photo library. The photo is processed in the app’s memory and is not transmitted to anyone.
Camera. If you take a photo directly, iOS asks once for camera permission. The image is processed in the app only and is not stored unless you save the finished poster yourself.
Saving to Photos. If you want to save a finished poster to your photo library, iOS asks you once for permission to add images. With that permission the app can only add images; it cannot read existing photos.
Sharing and printing. When you pass a poster on through the iOS share sheet or print it, the app or printer you choose handles the data from there. What happens to the image afterwards is governed by that provider’s privacy policy, not by this one.
Random names and copy. The names, sightings, and phone numbers on the posters are assembled by the app from fixed, fictional lists. They do not refer to any real person.
Data the app does not process

- No transmission of photos, posters, or input to servers of the provider or of third parties
Data processed by Apple
The app is distributed through the Apple App Store. Which data Apple processes in that context, for example during purchase or as part of the anonymized usage statistics you can allow or decline in iOS Settings, is governed by Apple’s privacy policy. The provider of LastSeen receives no personal data from it.
In-app purchases. Additional templates can be unlocked through an in-app purchase. Payment is handled exclusively by Apple through your Apple Account. The provider of LastSeen receives no payment data and no personal data from the purchase; the app only checks through Apple’s StoreKit whether a purchase exists, in order to unlock the templates.
Legal basis
Because LastSeen does not process personal data, no processing within the meaning of Art. 6 GDPR takes place. The on-device handling of photos is carried out solely on your instruction, to create the poster.
Your rights
Even though the app stores no data about you, under the GDPR you have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and objection, as well as the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. Please use the address above.
Children
LastSeen is Halloween entertainment aimed at adults. The app collects no data, including from children.
Changes
If the app is extended with features that process data, for example in-app purchases, this policy will be updated before release. The current version is always available at this address.
